Something New: A Pro-Am!

The concept is simple … randomly team someone who plays Turbo Bocce (the professional) with someone who has never played Turbo Bocce before (the amateur) and play a tournament … then give the winner a nice prize (maybe $300).

Many of the details are still TBD, but we are looking to have this event on 5/11.  Keep checking this page for updates!

Monday Bocce!

Monday is the Sand League’s championship night!   Just like during our championship there will be side one on one tournaments for cash, beer, food, and awards!  Think about stopping by.  We’ll also continue planning next year.  Big things on the horizon!

Possible Rule Changes

We had a great informational meeting last night, with all kinds of fun events planned, and also some rule changes discussed.

Here are the potential rule changes, please leave any thoughts/concerns in the comments section.

Playoff substitutions – If your partner can’t play in a playoff game you don’t have to forfeit, but you won’t be allowed to bring in your own hand-chosen ringer either.  From now on the league will have 3 or 4 players available and on hand to be used as substitutes during the playoffs, and your team will be assigned a substitute player at random on the day … Read More »
