Indoor Bocce FAQ

Everything you need to know about our new Indoor bocce league, typed out in a stupid way.

Q: So what’s the deal with Indoor Bocce?

A: We have dollar beers!

***

Q: Cool, sign me up!  . . .  No, seriously, what’s the deal?

A: Well, its going to be played every Friday night starting in early January and ending in early March.  It will begin at 7pm and go all night long.  Your individual game will only take about 20 minutes, so you can play quickly and leave if you want or stay and eat, drink, and play bocce all night long.

***

Q: Your first answer was more fun than your second answer.  Got any more fun info for me?

A: Absolutely.  We are not just going to have indoor bocce.  Since we have a huge ball room with our own, stage, kitchen, and bar, we plan on doing a lot of fun stuff besides just bocce.  We are going to have karaoke, rock band, beer pong, flip cup, live music, darts, pool, and whatever else we can think up between now and then.  Its basically going to be a big party that happens to include three fifty foot long bocce courts.

Q: So even my friends who have no interest in bocce or have never played bocce before will enjoy it and are encouraged to come check it out?

A: Duh.

***

Q: A huge ball room you say?  Where is this thing held again?

A: A place you would never guess.  The Ukrainian National Home on Tipp Hill.  The address is 1317 W Fayette St, Syracuse, NY 13204.  Just walk in the front door and go up to the third floor.

***

Q: How much does all this cost?

A: If you just want to show up and check everything out, its totally free.  If you want to join the league and be eligible for our prizes its $20 for the whole year.

***

Q: So for $20 I get food, entertainment, prizes, and dollar drinks?  That’s the deal of the century.

A: Duh.

***

Q: Personally, I’d run out on my own wedding to attend your bocce league, but what happens if I have a friend who cant make it one night?

A: Running out on your wedding is a little extreme and also unnecessary.  Missing a night or two is no big deal.  This is just for fun, plus we play with teams of 4 so if one or two people cant come the remaining players can choose to either obtain a substitute or just play with the people who are there.

***

Q: How are the teams formed?

A: We have plenty of people interested in playing and plenty of open spots left, so you can form your own team with your own friends and all join together, or you can have us place you with a team or just add a player or two to finish off your team.

***

Q: How does the league go?

A: That’s an incredibly inarticulate question, but at least you’re not talking about running out on your own wedding.  Basically, your team shows up, and signs in on our sign in board.  You will then play the next available team that is also signed up and ready to go.  This will take about 20 minutes.  Then you are done with the league part of the night.  From that point you can choose to stay and have fun eating, drinking, playing rock band, or any other game we have available.  Or, if you’d rather, you can leave, or just keep playing bocce all night.  At the end of the year we will throw a big party where we play a playoff and crown a champion.

***

Q: The last time I asked you how to sign up, you didn’t answer my question.

A: Write me an email at paul@turbobocce.com or just show up to the Ukrainian Home ready to play.

***

Q: Don’t you think there’s a strange amount of animosity in this Q & A considering its written by one person?

A: Yes I do . . . now stop talking to me.
