Week 3 Pre-Game!

Check out these week 2 highlights!

Forecast

Its sunny out right now, but we’ve got a 50/50 chance of rain at 5pm.  If you get to the field a 6pm you should miss it completely, and the field will be plenty dry.

If  the weather does something unexpected and you’d rather play tomorrow (when it will be 10 degrees warmer) you have that option!  Just let me know so I can plan for it.

Tips

I expect some great bocce today so here is some advice … don’t give 110% because that’s impossible.  Just give 100% and you’ll be fine … FYI this applies to both bocce and drinking.

Week 2 Pre-Game & Rain Policy

Its kind of a cold rainy day.  The bocce commissioner weather machine says it will be 8 to 10 degrees warmer and dry when bocce starts, but if its not and you don’t want to play today, let me officially invite you to play tomorrow instead – same place same time!  We already have some games scheduled.

Here is the official Turbo Bocce Rain Policy.

You may have noticed that the stats are not up like they always are … there is a reason for that.  Mark Avery and myself got in a bad car accident coming back from bocce last week.  … Read More »

Open House FAQ – Postponed until 5/21!!!

Where do we play?

Here’s a map of our field, plus you can park in the Paragon Supply parking lot – 1300 W Fayette St, Syracuse, NY 13204

Or the Allied Building Products lot – 158 Syracuse Street, Syracuse, NY 13204

Feel free to put either address in your GPS.

When should I come?

Everything is set up at 5pm and taken down at dark (around 9pm) you can come anytime in that stretch so long as you leave  yourself some time to play.  My suggestion is to show up between 5:30 and 7.

Did you know that bocce is considered America’s most social sport? Think it over, and you’ll see why this makes sense. When you play bocce you’re standing right next to your opponents, interacting with them. In our league you’ll often find yourself sharing drinks and food with the people you are playing against. You can’t help but meet new people and make new friends. Now contrast that with other recreational sports, like kickball or softball where your team is in … Read More »
