Week 2 Recap

I’m going to start this week’s recap off by bragging, not about my bocce skills but about my amazing weather predicting skills.

Here is what I wrote on Facebook about five hours before bocce started . . .

Turbo Bocce

FYI my super accurate weather predicting machine only available to bocce commissioners (and anybody with internet access) says there will be clear skies during bocce tonight! You know God loves bocce. We haven’t had to play in the rain since like 2014.

Check out this pic . . . turns out I was right. Sunny skies, and not a drop of rain … Read More »

June 10th Bocce Tournament!

Come check out our first tournament of the season; a random draw tournament on Saturday June 10th, that I think will help kick our season off right, by allowing you to meet and play with all kinds of new people.

Here are the details:

No need to have a partner, you’ll be randomly placed with a different partner during each round of the tournament.  Its a great way to meet new people, and play different styles of bocce!

We draw for partners at Noon, so show up on time.

Its totally free to play, and if you want beer provided all day it will cost you only $20.

Double elimination!

Tell your friends.  This is a great way to come check out Turbo Bocce without commitment.

I already wrote a whole thing about it on Facebook, so I won’t repeat it; just click HERE if you want to read it.

When you play bocce you’re standing right next to your opponents, interacting with them. In our league you’ll often find yourself sharing drinks and food with the people you are playing against. You can’t help but meet new people and make new friends. Now contrast that with other recreational sports: if you play kickball or softball you’re not really interacting with … Read More »
