Week 6 Recap

Yes, we played bocce during a tornado. About a hundred people didn’t show (and who can blame them?) but that still leaves quite a large number of people who were willing to brave the most extreme weather conditions known to Central New York (except in the winter) for their sport. No pictures exist because, quite frankly, it never stopped raining. But that’s okay because pictures would have been inadequate. Tornado bocce was so epic that it simply must be narrated by that deep voice guy who narrates every movie preview.

The craziest part of the day was when everybodies cell phone went off at the same time with this message.

Week 3 Recap

Lets turn back the time machine to June 10th.

For the second week in a row everybody got a free shot compliments of Sharkey’s. I definitely think we should enjoy that little perk while it lasts.

In some other extranious news, our field took another step in the right direction as it got sprayed for mosquitos and poison ivy, making for an extremely comfortable, irritant free environment. A big thank you is due Allison Bodine and Mike Aylesworth for their help with the poision ivy removal.

The weather was great and there was lots of bocce played, so lets get to it.

Week 2 Recap

Any day that starts with two-for-one drinks and ends with a free shot is a good day in my book, especially when the middle part of the day involves playing bocce.

Speaking of bocce, this weeks recap will include video for the first time ever thanks to Tom Montague, but before I get to that I want to acknowledge the 30 pack of National Boehemian beer donated by Adam Wozniack. Last week he sang the Nation Anthem to kickstart our season and this week he donates 30 very distinctive beers. What a guy.
