Here are the updated brackets, complete with Vegas Odds and some highlights of the teams who won to advance into the second round of the playoffs!

As always the Vegas Odds come from a formula that an actual Vegas Sportsbook uses to predict baseball games which we have all the statistical inputs necessary to compute.

Playoffs: Round 1 Recap & Round 2 Vegas Odds!

The first round of the Turbo Bocce playoffs came and went with exactly zero upsets (which in itself is kind of an upset, I don’t remember that ever happening before). When I say zero upsets I mean the higher seed won every game.

To me that’s boring. Do you think the first round of the playoffs was boring? Feel free to respond with your opinion in the comments section.

They say that a bad first round means a good second round, so I am expecting fireworks in the second round, no way do we have an entire tournament go even close to how it is seeded.

Playoff Round 1 Recap

#8 Like a Botch vs. #9 Ball Busters

Vegas predicted a close game as you’d expect between an 8 and 9 seed, giving Like a Botch a 60% chance of victory. All and all I’d say Vegas got this one right as Like a Botch won the series in two games, but both were hard fought wins, with the first game going into overtime. Despite Matt Carr having a great game and scoring 6 points in each game for Ball Busters, Like a Botch was too strong winning the series 12-10 and 11-9.
