Turbo Bocce’s 2016 New Year’s Resolutions

In Chronological Order:

Break the Guinness World Record for Longest Marathon Bocce Match

January 23 & 24

There will be two parties associated with breaking this record. One on Saturday, January 23rd at 8:00pm at the Ukrainian National Home’s third floor ball room –  1317 W Fayette St, Syracuse, NY 13204. A second on Sunday, January 24th at Noon. There will be food, drinks, music, and games, as well as a chance to watch a world record being set. If you’d like to break the record yourself, you can, but it wont be easy, you have to put together a team of eight people willing to play bocce for thirty straight hours and raise $400 to build a court.

Turn the Syracuse St. Patrick’s Day parade into a Turbo Bocce parade of champions

March 12

We want to honor all the people who won Turbo Bocce events. This includes Black Jesus (Tuesday league champions), Balls of Fury (Wednesday league champions), SMACtion (Monday league champions), Greg Griffo (One on One tournament champion), Meg Dyer (Schiller Park Tournament champion), Breakfast of Champions (Throw Back Tournament winners).

Planning for the creation of Syracuse’s greatest ever parade float (we will settle for nothing less!) is going to begin pretty much immediately after the Guinesss World Record is broken. Expect to hear from me. Also, everyone in the league will be invited to march in the parade with us . . . of course there will be free beer!

Have free food available for everybody after every day of bocce

May 17 – August 27

Get all of you recognized in the media as local bocce experts when Turbo Bocce takes center stage at the first ever Syracuse Olympics

August 6

All the neighborhoods of Syracuse will put teams together to compete in Bocce, Volleyball, Kickball, and Corn Hole, with the winners earning volunteers who come and beautify their neighborhood.  You can play or coach!

Have mini keg trophies made for everybody who has won a championship

After August 27th

This might involve some kind of trophy making party/drinking game.

Get another indoor tournament on artificial turf going

There are no guarantees that any of these things come to pass, but at least you know what I will be working on during the year. If you have any additions/subtractions to this list or you want to help make any of these things a reality, definitely let me know paul@turbobocce.com. 2016 is going to be a great year!
